Privacy Notice

Account details: name, email address, password (stored only as a one-way hash), and profile photo. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google, nothing else.

Company details: business name, description, trades, service area, city, phone, email, website and social links, photos, logo and banner, licensing and insurance details, and the business tax identification number you submit for verification.

Activity: cites, reviews, connections, saved companies, messages, job listings and applications, leads sent through your profile, and referral code usage.

Billing: your subscription tier, status, and billing period. Card numbers are handled entirely by our payment provider, never by us.

Technical: basic log data such as IP address, browser type, and error reports, used to keep the service secure and working.

A business tax ID is required to verify a company. The full number is stored in a restricted review queue that only administrators can access, and it is deleted as soon as the review is approved or rejected. After that we retain only the last four digits and the fact that verification happened. We also maintain an operator failsafe that can erase every stored tax ID immediately.

To create and secure your account, verify companies, publish your public profile, deliver messages, leads, connections and notifications, take payment and manage your membership, apply referral rewards, prevent fraud and abuse, and understand how the product is used in aggregate.

Your published company profile is public: name, description, trades, city and service area, photos, logo and banner, cites, reviews, and the contact details you choose to add. Your email login, password, tax ID, billing details, private messages, and saved companies are never shown publicly.

We use service providers to run the product: hosting and database infrastructure, our payment provider, and email delivery. They only process what they need to perform their service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose information where the law requires it or to protect the safety of members.

Account and company data is kept while your account exists. Cancelling hides your profile but preserves your data so you can come back. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes.

You can view and edit your account and company details at any time, control which email notifications you receive from your dashboard, and ask us to export or delete your data. Email Admin@Citevisit.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Access to data is restricted at the database level so members can only read their own private records. Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted in transit, and administrative access is limited to named accounts.

Cite Visit is for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data.
